Pause instead?

Hiding your profile takes you out of the pool while keeping your matches and messages. If you just need a break, pause: deletion cannot be undone.

How to delete

Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Confirm with your password. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first, especially if you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, because deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription.

What happens immediately

• •Your profile disappears from search and from other members' matches
• •Your photos and bio are removed from the live platform
• •Conversations are removed from your inbox
• •Verification selfies are queued for deletion

What we keep, and why

A minimal record is retained where the law requires it or where deletion would harm others: transaction records for tax and accounting, and a limited safety record where an account was banned for harassment or abuse, so the same person cannot simply re-register. This record contains no profile content.

Timing

Live removal is immediate. Backups cycle out within 30 days. After that the deletion is complete and irreversible. Registering again later creates a genuinely new account, with verification required from scratch.
