Report a member
Reporting is confidential, takes a few seconds, and is the fastest way to get a harmful account removed. The person you report is never told who reported them.
How to report
Open the profile or conversation, tap the menu in the top right, choose Report, and pick the closest reason. Adding a sentence of context materially speeds up review.
- Harassment or hate speech
- Unsolicited sexual content
- Fake profile or stolen photos
- Scam, solicitation or request for money
- Underage user
- Threats or off-platform abuse
What happens next
Reports are triaged by severity. Threats, minors and image abuse are reviewed first, usually within hours. Everything else is reviewed within a day or two. Outcomes range from a warning to a permanent ban with device-level blocking.
Block as well as report
Blocking is instant and independent of the review queue. Blocking removes the conversation from your inbox and hides you from that account entirely. Do not delete the conversation before you report; the messages are the evidence.
Urgent concerns
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Then email our safety team through contact support with the profile name and the word URGENT in the subject line so it bypasses the normal queue.
False reports
Reporting is not a tool for settling arguments. Coordinated or repeated false reports are themselves a violation and can result in restrictions on the reporting account.
