Privacy policy
Members of this community often have a great deal to lose from a data leak. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and profile content is never indexed by search engines.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, date of birth, password hash
- Profile data: photos, bio, gender identity, intent, interests
- Verification data: your live selfie, stored separately from the profile
- Usage data: matches, device type, app version, approximate location
- Payment data: handled by our payment processors; we never see your full card number
Why we use it
To operate matching, to verify identity, to prevent fraud and abuse, to provide support, to comply with legal obligations, and, where you have opted in, to send product email. Sensitive data such as gender identity is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw by deleting your account.
Who it is shared with
Only processors who need it to run the service: hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and moderation tooling. They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party ad targeting against your profile.
Search engines and visibility
Member profiles are never publicly indexed. Only marketing pages such as this one are visible to search engines.
Retention
Profile content is removed when you delete your account, and backups cycle out within 30 days. Verification selfies are deleted with the account. Limited transaction and safety records are retained where the law requires it or to prevent a banned user from re-registering.
International transfers
TRUME operates internationally, so data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens for members in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to privacy@trumedate.com; we respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to member data is restricted and logged, and verification material sits in separate storage available only to the moderation team.
